In 1948, a group of 33 entrepreneurs in moving and storage formed an alliance. These entrepreneurs believed they could help one another build their businesses by better serving customers. They envisioned their own cooperative from coast to coast, doing business according to the golden rule. Taking the name "Atlas® Van Lines," the group established headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. This group of independent Agents (commonly referred to around the halls of Atlas as moving companies, or simply local Atlas movers) have gone on build a global network of moving companies that help our customers go new places®.

Great Job
