I am extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by American Movers Direct LLC. The communication was abysmal, with promises of callbacks that never happened. On moving day, the crew arrived hours late without any explanation or apology. They rushed through the job, resulting in careless handling of my belongings. To top it off, they overcharged me for services that were never rendered. Avoid this company at all costs.

Overall this was a terrible experience. This company is a brokerage and paired me with EXPRESS MOVERS SERVICES INC. Firstly, the guy that came to pick up my belongings, Fakaner, informed me that he tried to cancel my job last minute because he didn’t “feel like waking up and driving to Washington, DC” He then questioned my age and experience with moving companies in order to get over on me. He LIED and gave me incorrect information on the cubic square feet that resulted on me paying $2,000 extra, the day of! Aside from the terrible moving company I worked with, AMD has low quality communication.

Please don’t waste your time with them. They requested a list of items that I will have them transport but when the movers came they said I didn’t have enough space on the truck for my items. The movers didn’t have a list of items that they were moving.

I had a disappointing experience with American Movers Direct. During the moving process, they lied about the costs associated with the number of boxes and items I had. It’s disheartening to deal with a company that lacks transparency and honesty in their dealings. It’s hard to fathom how they can sleep at night knowing that they consistently engage in dishonest practices.

Avoid this company at all cost! They will give you a low quote and make promises about how they will take care of you throughout your move and once they get their deposit, they hand you off to another company and you will never hear from them again.

I signed up for a move with All American Movers. I paid A LOT for a full-service, stress-free move where they handled all of the details. As soon as my payment to them cleared, they forwarded me to a 3rd party mover. This was fine because they were responsible for the logistics. What was not fine was that as issues came up with the 3rd party company, All American no longer replied to my emails or answered/replied to my phone calls. We were charged more than our contracted price and the work was not done as promised.

My first mistake was that after reading the so-so reviews of American Movers Direct (AMD, a broker), Casper, WY, I hoped that it work out for me. My first blunder was paying their $600 fee by photographing both sides of a check and emailing it to them instead of using a credit card as a way to save 5%. I later realized the extent of my financial exposure and closed the account.

Requested my $500 deposit back after reading the moving contract and felt some things did not sit right with me. I was hung up on 3 different times and none of my emails answered regarding reimbursement for my deposit. I documented everything that was going on daily as proof and sent to the company. Nothing was resolved.
